HALO's Board of Directors includes the following
distinguished individuals:

Ross Spencer Garsson, ,
Board President (2018-2024)

Ross Spencer GarssonRoss Spencer Garsson is a member at Dickinson Wright PLLC (Austin Office) in its intellectual property section, and he has more than 25 years of experience practicing intellectual property and technology law. Ross earned his B.S. in Chemistry Engineering and his B.A. in Mathematics (both cum laude) from Rice University and his J.D. (with honors) from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin. Ross focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, patent prosecution, and intellectual property portfolio management in a variety of technology areas, including chemical, nanotechnology, semiconductor, computer technologies, and medical devices. Ross has litigated numerous intellectual property disputes in State and Federal District Courts, in the U.S. Court of Appeals, and at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Ross has worked closely with nanotechnologists to procure and license their technologies. His work with the Richard E. Smalley Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology at Rice University and the Alan G. MacDiarmid Nanotech Institute at The University of Texas at Dallas has resulted in some of the most important patents for producing and manipulating carbon nanotubes. Before law school, Ross worked as an engineer at Standard Oil/BP. Ross is a Founding Master of the Barbara Jordan American Inn Of Court, is on the Advisory Board of the Rice Alliance, and is on the Board of Directors of the HALO (Helping Autism through Learning and Outreach) and the Austin Gifted School (Ace Academy). Ross is the father of a 17 year-old son who has autism (who has been taught RPM at HALO for well over a decade and thrives in communicating using this method) and a 21-year old college senior daughter.

Amy Campbell, Green Bay, WI
Board Member (2018-2024)

Amy Campbell, Green Bay, WI Amy Campbell holds her Bachelorís Degree in Business with a concentration in small business management, from the University of Phoenix. She is currently pursuing her Masterís Degree in Business Administration through the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Amy is the Executive Director and owner of ACE Teaching & Consulting, a HALO affiliated clinic. Amy is responsible for the business and management of the clinic. She enjoys working closely with families to get them prepared to work with their Senior Certified RPM Provider, sharing her knowledge on RPM and assisting families through their RPM journey. Amy serves as the President of RPM Support, member of the 432 Civil Affairs Battalion Family Reediness group and most recently as a board member of HALO (Helping Autism Through Learning and Outreach). Amy looks forward to assisting HALO with their mission and continuing to support the growth of RPM.

Stacey Lewis, Austin, TX
Secretary ( 2013-2024 )

Stacey Lewis , Austin,TX, had successfully built a career in mortgage lending with Wells Fargo Bank & Home Mortgage Division for over 10yrs before forfeiting her career so that she could care full time for her son, Cameron, diagnosed with ASD at age 3 and epilepsy at age 4. Stacey was introduced to Soma RPM in 2006 when Cameron attended his first 4-day camp with Soma. In 2007 she connected with other Southern California families and organized a Soma RPM Workshop in Irvine, CA . By the following year she and her family had relocated to Austin where she began volunteering regularly at HALO . That same year she was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2008. In 2010 Stacey accepted the role of Clinic Administrator/Director . Through her dual roles at HALO , which is a small 501 c 3 non profit, Stacey has been able to work closely with families, other autism orgs ,schools ,private orgs and professionals globally who support the Soma Rapid Prompting Method . In addition to being"Cameron's mom" she enjoys being actively involved iwith three-animal rescue orgs in the community as a volunteer and foster to bottle kittens , medical ,feral and hospice cats as well as contributing to various local charities .
